Eleventh Doctor is played by Matt Smith. I don't know much about him yet, because I just started watching 5. season. I know it will be hard for me to get used to him, but anyway I think he may be intresting and nice guy.

 

Song for Ten

Tenth Doctor was played by David Tennant in 2-4 season. He was funny and kind, but sometimes he needed someone to stop him from going to far in  his actions.

Ninth Doctor

Ninth Doctor was the first one I "met" and he is my favourite. A lot of fans forget about him, because season with him was the shortest, but it was worth to see. Ninth is symphatetic, sassy and maybe more mature than next Doctor. I really regret that there wasn't more episodes with him.

Doctor Who Week

Doctor Who is British tv show. It is produced since 1963 by BBC.  

It tells a story of Time Lord from planet Gallifrey, named Doctor, who is travelling in his TARDIS through time and space and saves humanity from dangerous aliens. He always has a companion - man, woman or dog. His worst enemies are evil Daleks - race of mutants, who try to destroy Universe. Other Doctor's enemies are Cybermen - people changed into a robots, and the Master - Doctor's old friend, another Time Lord. 

Night Shift

Stephen King - one of the most famous writer of our times. He gained fame as horror and science fiction author. Lot of his books was filmed.

One of his most famous works are "Christine", "Carrie", "It", or "The Shining". 

"Night Shift" is collection of twenty one horror stories.  It's a greate entertainment for those who like this type of books. It's fascinating and exciting. You can feel like one of  the participants of  events. The stories are unpredictible and original. It is worth reading.

The Rite of Spring

"The Rite of Spring" was composed by Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky, Russian composer, pianist and conductor.

The ballet "The Rite of Spring" was written in 1913. The premiere had place in Paris and it caused riot in the audience. People found it outrageous and barbaric, cause of its pogan theme.

It is considered the beginning of 20th century music.

In"Hannibal" we can hear a fragment of it in season 1, episode 4 when Hannibal tries to play on Will's piano.

Vide Cor Meum

"Vide cor meum" means "See my heart". It is title of pice of music composed by Patrick Cassidy.

It is performed by Danielle De Niese & Bruno Lazzaretti.

Thomas Harris Trilogy

A books wrote by Thomas Harris are psychological thrillers.

The first book "Red Dragon" is a story of former FBI profiler, Will Graham, who is helping his old friend, agent Jack Croford to find murderer, called the Tooth Fairy. In two months dangerous man killed two family in their house. To find him, Will has to turn for help to another serial killer, former psychiatrist - Hannibal Lecter.

The second book "The Silence of the Lambs" is a story of young FBI adept, Clarice Starling, who is working with Jack Croford on case of serial killer, who is killing young girls. Clarice turns to Hannibal for help in finding the murderer, called Buffalo Bill.

The third book, "Hannibal" is a story of famous psychiatrist and cannibal - Hannibal Lecter. After few year he can meet Clarice Starling once again, but this time his life is in danger. Clarice, suspended for duty after her unsuccessful case with drug dealers, tries to help him. She has to save doctor from his former patient and enemy, Mason Verger.

Goldberg Variations

Favourite piece of music of Hannibal in book is "Goldberg Variations" composed in XVIII century (first published in 1741) by J.S.Bach. It is a work for harpsichord, but it is also played on piano. It consists of an aria and a set of 30 variations.

Hannibal Week

Another of my many favourite TV shows - Hannibal. The main characters are Hannibal Lecter - psychiatrist who is also a serial killer, and Will Graham - clever man who works for FBI and helps them to find murderers. They both are in strange and difficult relationship with each other. Hannibal tries to make a killer and best friend from Will but Will tries to defeat Hannibal and find some evidences of him. In their dark, dangerous game no one is safe and they closest people can get hurt or even killed.

 The show is based on book wrote by Thomas Harris, but I will write more about this tomorrow.

Marina

"Marina", book wrote by Spanish author Carlos Ruiz Zafón.

The story of a boy, named Óscar Drai, who  during one sunny day in Barcelona meets mysterious girl, Marina. They become friends and try to solve Barcelona's secret. They spy a woman in black who every single month visits unnamed grave. This way leads them to sad, mysterious and creepy story. And the end of this story is yet about to come...

The book is wrote very good, it's captivating. I'm not a big fan of love stories, I actually don't like them, but C.R.Zafón can "smuggle" love story in so good way that it really doesn't bother me. The story is mysterious, fascinating and sometimes sad. I enjoyed it a lot and I think, I would back to this book in the future.

Up In The Air

I've been really busy last days, so sorry for little delay. I'll make up for it today.

The first song for a start is "Up In The Air".

From Yesterday

Today song from second album "A Beauitful Lie".

The song is called "From Yesterday" and the official video is fantastic. I really love they videos, they are really interesting and they always have a good story line.

In this music video they used 400 Chanise soldiers and 20 horses. It can be seen as a tribute to the film "The Last Emperor". Several of the scenes and characters are directly inspired by the film.

This is War

It's time for another song.

The second song which promoted third album "This is war".

The name of the song is the same as the album and it's amazing.

I really love fanvids with this song. I'm even doing one myself right now, so this song get stuck in my head. But that's ok, I like it ;)

Something from the Nightside

"Something from the Nightside", a great book wrote by Simon R. Green,  is first book from Nightside series.

The book is about private investigator, John Tylor who, asked by very rich woman, has to find her missing daughter in differnet world hidden in London. 

The Nightside. Dark and dangerous place, full of traps, monsters, bad people and other things.

The book is full of humor, quick action, badasses, and villains. I read it very quickly, cause it was really interesting from the first sentence to the last one. The book has some cool pictures and the ending is surprising.

30 Seconds To Mars Week

New week - new topic. This time it will be american rock group, known as Thirty Seconds to Mars *cheers*

 The group was formed in 1998 by Shannon and Jared Leto. They play alternative rock.

The band consists of:

Jared Leto (lead vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards)

Shannon Leto (drums, percussion)

Tomo Milicević (lead guitar, bass, strings, keyboards, other instruments).

The Weight of Silence

Today I'd like to present you psychological thriller "The Weight of Silence" wrote by Heather Gudenkauf.

I read this book few years ago and I really liked it. It's a story of 7-years old girl, Calli. She live with her older brother Ben, mother and father, agressive alcoholic. 

Calli stoped talking when she was 4 and nobody knows what happend to her. From this moment she refuse to say even one word, but now her best friend life can depends on that.

Petra, Calli's best friend is missing and Calli is the only person who may know what happend to her. Will she be able to break her fear from talking and  save the only friend?

Hi there, today I don't have a normal book for you, but I have a comic book. The newest version of Batman and Joker adventures. It is called "Death of the family" and is part of new DC Comics series.

The Joker is back in town with his new face and new plan. He's more scary and dangerous than ever before. This time he knows all Batman's secrets and he wants to use them against the Dark Knight. Will Bruce be able to stop the Clown Prince of Crime once more and save his family? 

I must say I was really excited about this one, cause I like DC Universe, especially Batman and the Joker is my favourite villian ever. I couldn't wait to start reading this comics from the moment it got in my hands. I wasn't disappointed, I really enjoyed the whole story and pictures. 

I reccomend this one to all of you.

GoT week

"She's my cherry pieee, cool drink of water such a sweet surprise..." I can't resist singing this song every time I hear it in my car. Just love this song.

This song was written by Jerry Cantrell (guitarist) for his father who fought in war with Vietnam and his nickname was "Rooster".

Divergent

Hi. Two days ago I just finished "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. I try to read it quickly, to be able to compare book with the movie. Nevermind haha.

If you are fan of The Hunger games this book is for you! I guess Divergent world is worse than the HG. In book people in a post-apocalyptic Chicago must choose their faction. Only one faction for which they are best suited.
For the selfless: Abnegation.
For the peaceful: Amity.
For the honest: Candor.
For the brave: Dauntless
For the Erudite: Intelligent.

Sixteen-year-old Beatrice Prior is born into an Abnegation family. Her aptitude test also supports this, inconclusively indicating aptitude for three factions: Abnegation, Erudite, and Dauntless. It makes her a divergent... what will be her choice? She can't have these three things at once. So she made a choice that surprises everyone, even herself. The mystery of the island

Because of Supernatural week I was thinking which book will fit the topic. I found this one:

"The Warlock's Castle" wrote by Norwegian-Swedish author, Margit Sandemo.

The book is about young woman, Sharon, who was accused of murder, she didn't commit. She runs from home to live on island in mining settlement. But miners aren't the only dwellers there. There is also mysterious castle which is inhabited by evil ghost. Will Sharon and her new friends manage to solve the mystery of haunted castle? And will she find her dream love?

Supernatural Week

I'm a great fan of Supernatural, this is my favourite show ever. I'm totally crazy about it, so I'm really excited about this week. Every single day for whole week I will add songs from this show.
